As different as things might seem on both coasts, one thing is the same: people need life insurance. Once you get in the home with a client, you quickly find out that people need the same kinds of coverage and they want to be protected with life insurance.

No matter where you live the leads are the same across the country. When you are working to get referrals from people, it still boils down to talking to people and relating to them. When people trust you and know that you are trying to help them, they are going to be more likely to help you in return. If you don't ask for what you want then you will certainly get it. Ask more questions and get better results.

Andy Albright hosted this edition of The Alliance Activity podcast to cover two main topics: where to find the time and when to engage and not to engage.

There are ways to make time for everything. When you see a person that seems to get more done, too many people think there is some mystical magic to it. Now, there is a trick to getting things done. People that leverage time are successful. They find ways to get more done than most are willing to, and they keep thinking of ways to make more things happen.

If you could figure out one positive activity that you could do in your life what would it be? If you could change something, what would it be? Just pick out one thing to focus on.

What one thing would you change in your business? If you could get really good at one thing, what would it be?

Can you figure out your one thing personally and professionally to improve drastically? Write it down now.

Are you going to work on a Saturday morning or are you going to sleep in late? What does your calendar tell you? What are you going to do tonight? How about later today? Instead of putting "things" off why not get to work and start accomplishing tasks.

When you stop putting things off then you start developing a winning mentality that will take you to the next level.

Do your actions "actively" show that you are working to get better? Are you intentionally moving with a clear purpose and mission? This is a choice.

Successful people are where they are now because of choices they made a long time ago. They made decisions and choices and they took great action to reach their potential.

Andy's friend John C. Maxwell loves to talk about "intentional living." What are you doing now that you weren't before? Take a moment to really think about that and decide what you are going to change. It might not happen today, but it can start today and it can start right now. You can't have movement until you move!

Until you can commit then you will stay where you are. You have to decide if you want to win and you have to decide how big you want your victories to be. People spend too much time focusing on urgent things when they should be doing important things. Why? People are addicted to the power that comes from tasks that lead to instant success and gratification.

Recreational activities will not help you financially. They will actually hurt you. It's OK to play cards, golf, etc. but just know that it won't change your life. People do this stuff for fun.

You have to focus on the important tasks in your life and let the other stuff go or at least put it off until later. Learn to make it a habit to spend more time on the important stuff.

Andy Albright hosted the NAActivity call from the Alliance Convention Center at NAA headquarters during an Instant Thunder event.

One of the things that makes Andy mad is seeing people with all the potential in the world not realize their potential. It is not as much about talent so much as it is about figuring out what you are willing to do. That is what separates great people from good people.

Are you working on doing what you are good at? Do you focus on that consistently? How focused are you?

Dysfunction can stop you from growing. You can have all the talent in the world and not be successful because you get off track and don't stay focused.

Can you master avoiding the pitfalls that can derail you? Be a master of putting off low priority items that are not urgent and important.

If you've ever been on a boat you know that you can look behind you and see a wake of water for a long way. How big is your wake? It takes speed, size and direction to create a big wake. Slow boats don't leave a wake. What is the "wake" of your relationships and your task? How many friends did you keep? How many phone calls did you make? Results matter � period!

How do people feel about you? Are you bringing them closer to the fire or pushing them outside the heat they seek desperately? Are you attracting the right people? After they spend time around you, do they want to come back?

How is your integrity? It takes a long time to build it up and for others to trust that you have it, but it only takes one bad move to ruin it forever. You have to make decisions all the time. Each choice you make can improve your stock or cause it to come crashing down in a flash.

Andy will be the first to tell you that he messes up all the time. He is also quick to let things go and move on. You have to keep trying and know that it will be OK.

Do you need encouragement or critics? This is a powerful question to consider. Most of us judge ourselves with truth and we see everybody else’s “highlight” reel. Which one of those is real?

People need encouragement and less sarcasm from people and the world. A seed will grow if it is planted in the right environment. More people need to help more people grow. We don’t need to beat them down, we need to raise them up and get them on track. When you believe in somebody and encourage them, you will be shocked by how much it means to them. When you helps others you will see that it actually helps you.

When you build relationships you get well. When you build relationships you grow. It’s natural to grow. The more you can give to others the more you get in return. People who give of their time, money, effort and energy are rewarded in ways you can’t even imagine. Make it a habit to be encourage people in all that you do.

Watch what happens when people pick up on your attitude and encouragement. People will start following you. It will grow and grow.

People need to be on a team. The Alliance is a place that is full of teammates to have your back and encourage you consistently. Tell people that you are proud of them. It’s a simple act that shows people you care and want them to succeed.

Andy Albright delivered a high-energy edition of The Alliance Activity Podcast live from his office at NAA headquarters in Burlington, N.C.

The show's topic centered around the phrase, “Do the Do.” Andy had a few questions for members of The Alliance. He asked people if they wanted to “do” differently and with different intensity than most people? Do you NOW want to know what to “do?”

Sight and Sound. What do you see and hear? Are you giving, are you showing up, are you helping? That’s how you do more. People see and hear what you do. If you are a leader, people will copy what you say and do.

When people commit to a goal then it is amazing how things change. It changes how you view results. When you know that you matter then it changes the game.

The greatest pain in life is unrealized potential. There’s nothing worse than a person who has everything it takes to be successful and they don’t focus on doing what they should be doing.

When you keep things simple and focus on less and less, you will find that you can do more and more. Think multiplication and not addition. When you start multiplying and not adding, you see an explosion. When we ignore stuff that doesn’t matter and do what makes us successful, then we take the lid off of what we can accomplish.

Stick to the things you know and keep doing those things over and over. That is how you become great at what you do. Can you do what it takes to be a NURD? That means Now, Urgent, Right Now and Directly “DO” the do!

The Alliance has an advantage, but it means nothing unless you use the system and take advantage of it.

Andy Albright hosted a special edition of the NAActivity Podcast live from his office at NAA headquarters in Burlington, N.C. to discuss what the NAActivity Challenge is and how you can win the challenge bonus.

A big illusion in life is making the mistake of putting off doing something because you think you can do it later, or you can start doing it later. You have to start doing now.

People like to talk about what they are going to do, but they fail to start doing. They lack urgency. When you continue saying you are going to do something tomorrow, it’s going to be what keeps you from succeeding. You have to start getting things done now.

The most valuable asset you have is time. When you put stuff off you are devaluing your time. People who fail miserably are those who do not control their time, direction or the speed. When you spend time talking about things that don’t matter, you are wasting your greatest asset. People with no objective in life never reach their potential. You have to figure out what you want and start chasing after it.

You have to do three things to be a consistent success. You have to be good at priority planning, exercise sustained focus and have a high level of personal accountability.

Welcome to The Alliance Activity Podcast with Andy Albright. This episode is about setting the correct tone for the rest of the year. NOW is the time to set some goals and start making progress in your life.

Right now. Today. This moment. This is your new beginning. This is your time.

What are you going to do differently? What are you going to change?

Last year was great, but this year is going to be even better.

Andy wants more people to have more experiences, to be happier, see more and do more.

Three things to focus on this year are: keeping the main thing the main thing, telling people what you want to do because you are going to do what you want to do anyway and discovering what is important to you and finding out what your priorities are. That’s where your focus should be right now to make this an amazing year. We need to do this for ourselves and for others.

Think seriously about the little things. Think about the big picture and where you want to be later. That will help you focus on the big picture and do the small stuff. Then, start doing what you should be doing. Think NOW. Get it done and move on to the next thing. Do the Do. Money will not make you miserable. Having money also won’t make you happy. Money will free you up to do things you want to do instead of chores. Being able to decide and choose what you will do each day will make you happy. Don’t get dragged into stuff that doesn’t matter. Petty. Pointless. Stuff that doesn’t matter should not be occupying your time. 

Become a person that wants to find people that share your dreams and goals. These people understand what is important. People that realize this business, The Alliance, can help you do that. We can use it for multiple things. Helping people. Making money. Changing lives. Changing the world for the better. We have the vehicle to allow us to drive wherever we want to take it to. This can be the biggest year ever for you and it starts RIGHT NOW!

 

3 things to remember: Keep the main thing the main thing, tell me what you want to do because you are going to do what you want anyway, what is important to you and what are your priorities? That’s what you need to focus on now to make 2016 all that it should be for you.

That’s what we all need to do for ourselves and for the people we are working with. It’s our focus in 2016.

Each week we sell recruit and build. That’s how I’m going to measure and ID people this year. NURDs

Urgent – define it

Directly doing it

What are willing to fight for and what you are willing to fight against. That determines what you are willing to DO in 2016. Working on thing we will DO and getting away from things we shouldn’t do. Priorities. God, family, health, wealth, etc. What is important and what is not important. Make a list on a white sheet. Then do list of things doing right and things need to work on.

Dreams and your why determines what you want, how hard you will fight, what you will do, etc. House, toys, car, travel, etc.

The future will be based on your actions. Will your behavior line up with your why? Will you figure it out every day based on what you want and what you are doing? Can you keep doing it?

Be a performer not a perfectionist. Do the do. What you want determines how great you will be at the basics. How bad do you want it? Burning desire to master the basics and mundane will determine your success. Focus. Fired up about it. Committed. Don’t care what others think about what you do because your goal is not theirs. Move and master the boring stuff others don’t want to do.

Urgency and humility. Big words in 2016. Those two will lead to being blessed. Pride will mess things up. The lockerroom of a great team has humility and coaches itself. Remember how we got where we are and don’t forget we had help. Keep pride and ego low. Be urgent. You words of gratitude. You will be more successful by acting with urgency.

Dynasty and destiny.

Really it is destiny we are working toward. At end of your life will you be able to say I did it right and we did it right? Urgency, Ready and willing and now is the time to move. Our destiny will be our dynasty. Our dynasty will be a result of our destiny. You can look back forever when you reach the end of your time on Earth. What will matter is how we use the time we have here to create the dynasty and our destiny. It is a simple little circle that can change your behavior.

Little things. Think about big picture and where you want to be later. That will help you focus on the big picture and do the small stuff. Then start doing what you should be doing. Think NOW. Get it done and move on to the next thing. Do the Do. Money will not make you miserable. Having money also won’t make you happy. Money will free you up to do things you want to do instead of chores. Being able to decide and choose what you will do each day will make you happy. Don’t get dragged into stuff that doesn’t matter. Petty. Pointless. Stuff that doesn’t matter.

Want you to find people that share your dreams and goals. They understand what is important. People that realize this business, The Alliance, can help you do that. How can we use it to take one thing and use it for multiple things. Helping people. Making money. Changing lives. Changing the world for the better. We have the vehicle to allow us to drive wherever we want to take it to.

People are confused in America. People don’t know if things are good or bad. Drama. Shootings. Presidential election is coming up. People are making the mistake of getting tied up in all that and they don’t even have control of any of it. If they could find something to focus and work on then life would be easier. We have that opportunity and can get them out of the routine of self-defeating behaviors they are practicing daily. Time waits for no man. It keeps moving. What you do each day compounds. Days become weeks. Weeks turn like seconds. Years tick away like minutes. Before you know it, you are saying I’ve got so much more I want to do. The problem is you have wasted your time and now you are in panic mode. You can change that cycle now by doing every single day.

Tell people you care about that will not be easy and you will have to give up things if you want to enjoy the reward of the greater stuff. It will, however, be worth it. There will be challenges to overcome, but doing the do will get you where you want to be and it will allow you the chance to reach all your goals and dreams.

Imagine this: 2016, 45 hours a week being very effective at selling, recruiting and getting people to do both those things. Teach people to do that and it will explode. Focused, direct and intentional time spent each week. How bad you want it will determine what you are willing to do to make it happen in 2016. It is about working and being effective with your time. It will show in the results.

Will you be a leader of our pack in 2016? Will you be one that pulls our group together tighter and closer than ever before? Those who can master it will reap the rewards. The more boring you are about what you do then the more exciting this year will be because of how that pays off for you. That will determine our success. We are headed in the right direction. It started building in 2015 and now is when it blows up like Mt. Fuji.

This can be the biggest year ever for you and it starts RIGHT NOW!
