On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright talks about the 4 Social Bonds and how they drive success.

What is a Social Bond?

A relationship between people or groups based on shared feelings, interests, or experiences.

Social Bond Quote:

"We recognize feelings, we share in common interests, and we participate in unique experiences; and that's why we form deep and enduring social bonds with one another in The Alliance. Emotional connection is the glue that binds us together." -- Andy Albright

The Four Social Bonds:

1). Attachments -- investment in relationships with proven others.

2). Commitments -- investment of resources in a proven system.

3). Involvements -- investment of time in proven activities.

4). Beliefs -- investment of attitude in a proven culture.

Why are people successful in our business?

1). Because of their attachments to other significant people in their lives (attending meetings and copying leaders).

2). Because of their commitment to what works and not losing their progress (buying leads and hiring staff).

3). Because of their involvement in productive pursuits and not wasteful behavior (setting 40 appointments and making 40 approaches).

4). Because of their belief in a common mission and established norms (defeating poverty and following The 8 Steps).

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright talks to you about you can creating good habits and break bad habits at the same time.

"If your priority to add a good habit is not bigger than your priority to keep a bad habit, then you will never change the path you are on." --Andy Albright

Moral: Adding a good habit is realized when you can see its reward and ignore the pleasure of a bad habit.

Four Ways to Create a Good Habit:

1). Make it obvious (design your environment. Make the cues of a good habit visible).

Example: Stack previous booked appointments and the issue-paid policies in front of you while you dial.

2). Make it attractive (create a motivation ritual. Do something you enjoy immediately before and after a difficult habit).

Example: Before and after dialing have the first half of your favorite dessert and then finish the other half.

3). Make it easy (Prime the environment. Pair an action you want to do which requires less effort with an action you need to do which is rewarding).

Example: Sit in your most comfortable chair, with your favorite music playing, staring out into your most inspiring view, while making your dials.

4). Make it satisfying (Use a habit tracker. Keep track of your habit streak and don't break the chain).

Example: Turn your habit into a routine by keeping score of your successes and creating a contest with yourself.

Four Ways to Break a Bad Habit:

1). Make it invisible (Reduce exposure. Remove the cues of your bad habit from your environment).

Example: Get rid of the TV in your upstairs bedroom.

2). Make it unattractive (Reframe your mindset. Highlight the benefits of avoiding your bad habit).

Example: More reading and sleeping will occur.

3). Make it difficult (Increase friction. Increase the number of steps between you and your bad habit).

Example: Only keep a TV downstairs in the den.

4). Make it unsatisfying (Create a habit contract. Make the costs of your bad habit painful).

Example: Require a fee to be placed in a jar every time you watch the den TV.

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright talks about setting priorities to guarantee success.

The Four Reasons To Set Priorities:

1). Identifies what is important (make a list of those things that need to be done right now).

"The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." --Stephen Covey

Moral: "Efficiency is doing things right; Effectiveness is doing the right things." --Peter Drucker

2). Helps guide better decision-making (things that are considered the most essential should be classified as priorities first).

"Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least." -- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Moral: "Many things are good, many things are important, but only a few are essential." --David Todd Christofferson

3). Keeps you on track (once the essential needs have been met, the desirable wants in your life can be approached and obtained).

"Priorities dictate our choices, choices shape our wants, and what we want determines our actions." --Andy Albright

Moral: 1st: Establish your priorities (what you choose to do)

2nd: Determine what you want from your do

3rd: Decide what you are willing to exchange for it

4). Gives you confidence to say no (once committed to your priorities, it will give you permission to ignore distraction).

"Dedication to your priorities ensures neglect to all negativity." --Andy Albright

Moral: "with my mind on my money and my money on my mind." -- Gin and Juice by Snoop Dogg

Mar 13, 2021

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright brings you Part 2 of his series on how to combat the doubts that create negativity.

In Part 1, we learned about the first three of six negative objections and thoughts a new agent might encounter.

Those were:

1). "Is something wrong with this or is there something wrong with me?"
Advice: Be Decisive - decide to take control of your own narrative.

2). "Why didn't they even want to listen to what I had to offer them?"
Advice: Be Persistent - reject objection with a tenacious pursuit of your own goals.

3). "Is that a multi-level, network marketing, pyramid scheme?" Advice: Be Courageous - challenge the mainstream with your activity.

In Part 2, Andy will share three more objections.

4). "Don't do it. You will lose money and friends."
Advice: Be Responsible - stick to owning the actions within YOUR story. "You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worth." -- Brene Brown

Moral:
Don't let your self-worth be decided by caution and driven by warning. Never find yourself answering to others' experiences or explaining others' objections when choosing your own path.

5). "Who is going to buy from you? You will run out of warm market people soon."

Advice: Be Solution-Focused - concentrate on what could go right vs. what could go wrong. Don't spend endless hours analyzing a problem that hadn't happened yet.

"See what is before you. See the here and now. It is the hardest thing. The only thing that counts." --Abraham Lincoln

Moral: Let the focus of the moment drive your future.

6). "I'm busy. I don't have time. I have to spend time with my family."

Advice: Be Adaptable - avoid getting stuck in the trap of others' personal excuses. Don't expend energy and time trying to get into the emotional weeds with them. Quickly move on to the next down, the next pitch, the next point, the next frame, the next golf hole, etc.

"Negativity is not the problem. The problem is the incredible amount of overthinking you're doing with that negativity. Don't give it credence and move on." --Andy Albright

Moral: Train your mind to see the good in everything. Positivity is a choice, but unfortunately so is being miserable.

Dec 11, 2020

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright wants to talk about knowing when you have a solid person on your team.

Each of the Prospects you work with have to be able to do three things:

• They have to be able to bring their own width without your help -- personally recruit.

• They have to be a team player -- do the 8 Steps.

• They have to be able to take second and third legs -- other than the tap root that you helped build with them -- and take it a minimum of eight levels in depth.

How the 8 Steps Line Up with Team Player Attributes:

1. Personal Use to become credible (convincing).

2. Work to become result-oriented (completing).

3. Listen to become focused (leaning).

4. Read to become informed (reasoning).

5. Attend All Meetings to become dutiful (honoring).

6. Be Teachable to become humble (respecting).

7. Be Accountable to become answerable (explaining).

8. Communicate with a Positive Attitude to become motivated (inspiring).

Dec 4, 2020

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright talks about catching a winning spirit.

The winning-type spirit is best summed up in this quote by ex-Green Bay Packers football coach Vince Lombardi:

"Winning is not a sometime thing; it is an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."

Winning spirit: Something to prove with your attitude and execution

Enthusiasm: passion for life with eagerness and willingness

Ambition: desire for achievement and need for distinction

To get that winning spirit, you need your ambition to stoke your enthusiasm to the point where you feel like you have to prove yourself by winning!

Nov 12, 2020

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright comes to you live from The Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C. to talk about the "Dream Plan."

The question is: how bad do you want it? You have to know what you want before you can get it.

What extremes are you willing to go through? How far will you go? You have to remember that feeling.

What's your reason? Is it freedom? You must be addicted to having a choice.

The Fact Number One is: the average person earns $2.7 million over their lifetime.

* The average person spends $50,000 a year and with an average lifespan of almost 75 years this comes to around $3.7 million.

The Fact Number Two is: the average person lives 27,375 days.

* Take your age and multiply it by 365. Then subtract it from 27,375.

For example: 56 x 365 = 27,375 - 21,170 = 6,205 days left

The Truth is: you do not have plenty of money nor plenty of time.

* Do you base your decisions on the lack of money?

* Do you ignore opportunity due to a lack of time?
