Nov 10, 2017

On this edition of the Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright delivered an energetic call from this year’s last Instant Thunder in Burlington, N.C.

Why are people confused? Why don’t people start something? Andy wants to give you the recipe to fix what ails you.

How do you relate?

Do you want to make a difference? Are you doing something that makes a difference? Are you doing it with people who make a difference? Are you doing it at a time that makes a difference?

It’s not about being perfect. It is about wanting a better life for yourself.

Do you believe big? There are four things to think about in terms of belief.

Do you believe in yourself?

Do you believe in your mission?

Do you believe in your people?

Do you believe in your God?

Most people are passive. Why do people talk about significant regrets and not about what they tried and failed at? Why would you spend time talking about something you didn’t even attempt to do?

Most people think this way: If I could just be there … I’d would do this. Why? Starting would be better and more helpful.

The truth is that you can only start where you are! That’s your first move.

Real freedom comes from knowing that you don’t have to save the entire world. Your goal should be to be impactful and to make a difference in the place where you call home.

Start with one thing.

Henry David Thoreau wrote, “One was not born into this world to do everything, but to do something.”

Use the right words

King Solomon said, “Words kill, words give life, they’re either poison or fruit! You choose.”

Speak positive and be nice to people.

Make small changes

Make small adjustments. Get people to move three percent for the better.

John Wesley wrote, “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. All the time you can. To all the people you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.

Start small, but believe big.

Oct 20, 2017

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright shares how you can keep going, not quit, not get weary in well doing and not succumb to the lies that many people want you to believe in the world we live in.

Can you get a whitesheet of paper and write down everything you want to happen soon, next year and in five years?

Do it and prepare for your future. Prepare for greatness. Every step you take that gets you closer to your ultimate goal gives you more energy.

Have you heard the story of Abe Lincoln and the importance of being persistent. He tried many trades and to seek many different elected positions, but failed over and over again. Eventually, he was elected president and is one of the most famous and well-known Americans in U.S. history.

When you are faced with a decision, how do you determine your next move? Focus on the stats. It matters in life. Stats and facts. Then, take action.

40 percent of the things you worry about will never happen. 30 percent of people worry about things in the past. 12 percent focus on needless concerns about health, etc. 8 percent of the things we worry about are legitimate things. Half of the legit things we worry about we can affect. 2 percent we can eliminate. 2 percent of the things that people worry about is really, really legitimate.

Don’t waste moments in life when you can get something done. Life is meant to be lived. Stop wasting time.

Let go of what you think you want. What do you think you want? Don’t want things that you can never get. You can’t continue wanting stuff that you can’t change. You don’t have time to go after things that you can’t possible affect, change, impact.

Can you get hung up on tomorrow and think about what it will be like? Picture the future. Think big, then think bigger. Keep growing. Cover the bad stuff with more good stuff. It lessens the blow of the bad stuff when you keep doing good.

Keeps pushing forward, it is easier than sitting down. Find new challenges. Find bigger challenges.

Cut out the fear, worry and doubt.

Most people have heard the lies, but they don’t hear the truth. They hear negative people tell them what they can’t have. Stop hearing that YOU can’t have what you want. It will drain you. Don’t buy into that junk. You get to decide what is good enough for you. If you want to win, then you can make it happen. You success and future has nothing to do with the lies people are trying to spread. It has everything to do with what you do.

If you can do the little things and stop worrying about the negative, you can have anything you want.

Sep 22, 2017

On this episode of the Activity Call podcast, Andy Albright talks to you about the importance of planning and how it determines how successful you will be.

The process of planning is huge. Planning rules the day. It determines how much you can do. The problem is the “inner me” more than the enemy. The skill to plan is critical to success. It will enable you to do more than most. Your plan will allow you do more. Planning is your guide. It is what will drive you to be successful in all that you attempt.

Your ability to set goals and makes plans is the master skill of success. Everything is a series of steps. Multitasking is about having a sequence to do work. The Alliance has the Activity book that can tell you exactly why you are getting the results you are getting. It’s like a recipe for success.

Everybody has a story. We all have “stuff” we are dealing with. Yes, you matter, but how are you working through things that just don’t matter? How do you get results? You approach steps in a particular way. You skill to plan and complete jobs will enable you to accomplish more than most people and is critical to your success.

Planning and scheduling will enable you to hit your goals, realize your purpose and complete projects. Knowing specific steps will help you move from the beginning, to the middle and to the end with clear deadlines and mini-deadlines. There is great skill in that. You can learn and master it with enough practice.

General Dwight D. Eisenhower, who led a successful invasion of Normandy in World War II, was asked about having a detailed planning process. He said, “the plans were useless, but the planning was indispensable.”

Action without planning is the cause of every failure. It is hard to attack work with no plan. There is the old military axiom that states: no plan ever survives first contact with the enemy. Discuss the enemy. The enemy versus “inner me” theory. The “inner me” is the problem more than the enemy. Situations change rapidly. The plan is obsolete, but the process is important.

All successful people work off of a written plan. They have a schedule for each week, month, year and even their life. All great human achievement of mankind from the great pyramids to the nicest sports car were preceded and accomplished with detailed plans. “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”

We are all in a race against time. You have the same time as anybody else. You can make as much money as you want to, but many of you take longer than the most successful people to do it. The “Profit Model” is to measure expense versus profit. How fast and how much do you want to profit versus what you are willing to give up in order for that profit? God gives you dreams, desire and hunger. God blesses plans. The Alliance has the light of D.A.E. (Duplication, Association, Edification). The light of D.A.E. is a plan. It is order and not chaos. Plans are like plays in football. Execute. Order. Process. Get results!

We have the 8 Steps and the 8 Core Values.

Are you working? Where are you working? Why are you working with certain people? The goal is to be intentional with the plan. Doing this brings simplicity and clarity. Be strategic when you move. Less thinking versus greater thinking. The enemy of success is past success.

Focus on Who NOT Do. Who YOU are determines what you DO. Integrity is big. Are you finding people like you? People like winners. There is a cost in anything that you do. How much of your life do you give up to get what you want? We are all dying right now. We don’t have limitless time. The sooner we can realize that, the better off we are.

Andy Albright hosted the Activity Call podcast live from his office at The Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C. in front of a live studio audience to announce August contest winners and to announce six new contests that will be held in the next couple months.

Do you understand the power of potential? Do you know that planning for success is the only way you will be successful? Winners are those who have potential, but that also execute and know how to win. They do it often and they love it.

The Alliance is looking for people with potential that can lead to an explosion of growth. We are looking to take people’s potential and put it in motion. We are looking for performers!

Sep 8, 2017

On this episode of the Alliance Activity Call podcast, Andy Albright's message centered around how you can identify your special talents and how you can use 8 things to be discover the talent that will help you get the most out of life.

Everybody has talent, but ability takes work. Michael Jordan was talented, but you can bet he worked harder than almost any other player in basketball.

The poet Longfellow wrote, “The great tragedy of the average man is that he goes to his grave with his music still in him.”

Why struggle for 20 years in a job or situation you don’t love and know it doesn’t work? When you could work for two years in something you love and it matters, you can do far more than working in an area you don’t like for 20 years.

Napoleon Hill wrote that “the key to success is for you to find out what you really love to do, and then find a way to make a great living doing it.”

Most, if not all, millionaires will tell you that they have never worked a day in their life because they found out what they loved to do and they did it more and more.

  1. You will be happiest and best at something you love to do. If you could afford to do it with no pay, would you do it? If it brings out the best in you, you get satisfaction from it and you enjoy it, why wouldn’t you do that all the time?
  2. Find your natural, obvious talent and ability and do that. We are here for two reasons: to worship God and to help people. If God is for us then who can be against us? I can do it and you can do it! You can’t win the game if you are not playing the game. Don’t sit in the stands when you should be playing on the field.
  3. What talent is responsible for most of your success and happiness? What do you enjoy, what brought you the greatest rewards and accolades and what do people know you for?
  4. What is your great talent? What was easy for you to learn and do? It was something so easy you didn’t even really work hard to learn it, you just started doing it. What was it? What is it?
  5. What is your talent now? This thing holds your attention. It fascinates you. You think about it, read about it, talk about it, learn about it, and it holds you attention all the time.
  6. You love to learn about this subject or activity. All your life it has been something you were passionate about. You have a desire to know more about it and excel at it.
  7. What is something that when you do it, time seems to stand still. Hours are like minutes.
  8. What is a talent you respect and admire in other people? Who do you know that is good or great at this talent? You admire them because they are so good at it. You want to be as good as them at this talent. People want to be respected by the people they respect. People help people.

These steps are designed to lead you into what you are uniquely put on this Earth for and to do until your time is done.

Here’s the big quest: Do I get to do it versus Do I have to do it? The trap of a poor performer is in not doing what you know you can do. Excellence doesn’t happen immediately. Anything worth doing well is worth doing poorly at first.

Aug 25, 2017

On this episode of the Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright discusses how to filter recruits to save time and be more productive.

How do you get a ROI - Return On your Investment?

Your enthusiasm level just doesn't go from 5 to 10 without making an effort or changing your behavior.

Filtering is a matter of your focus and your priorities.

Hiring the right people is how you grow your business. You have to find Kings, Queens, Jacks and 10s in your deck of cards to win consistently. It's OK to get a 7, 8 or 9 that can improve, but it's hard to win when your hand is filled with 2, 3 and 4-level people.

When people start talking about things that aren't important, start filtering and move away to a person that is talking about great stuff. Avoid the wrong kinds of people.

Stay focused and stick to working on items that help you move toward your goals. Do not waste time worrying about what others think. Remember what is important in your life and ask yourself consistently this: What should I be doing?

Minimize the negative and focus on the positive.

People say stuff and people worry about what other people say. When you worry about this, it takes away from your focus.

You have to fight to maintain FOCUS in everything. Focus on what is urgent and what is important. It is a thinking process.

Don't mix up valuable with invaluable stuff. Most people get upset about people, things, drama and don't understand why important tasks are not done.

"What do I do about the voices in my head?" What you say to yourself is important.

You are responsible for the thoughts in your head. Be aware of that and work to keep things positive. The decisions you make have a lot to do with what you say to yourself. Don't let negative forces hurt you. Be mindful of how you react to all situations in your life.

Aug 11, 2017

On this episode of the Activity Call podcast, your host Andy Albright talks about a concept that he uses in his life and business to help him move projects, tasks and ideas along faster.

This worksheet is called the “Ready, Fire, Aim Concept.”

This concept involves planning in terms of emotion, time and money. Before you go “all in” on a project, you need to start it and then gauge whether or not you are on the right track. Also, maybe you can make adjustments before you think you are done with a task or project.

When you are working toward a goal, figure out what you want and take action. Make adjustments along the way, but keep working toward what you want.

Just do it!

The difference between high achievers and low achievers can be found in the level of action and commitment. The most successful people take action. Moment by moment your life is going away. You can have the best intentions in the world, but what you do is how you need to keep score. Are you getting results? The way to get what you want is to get things done, rather than intending to do something. Are you “action oriented?”

Are you walking, talking and behaving like successful people do? Even if you aren’t where you want to be, are you acting like you are what you want to be? Some people say, “fake it until you make it.” Andy says, “faith it until you make it.” Have faith, take action and don’t be scared to fail.

The law of reversibility in psychology and metaphysics talks about “you are more likely to act yourself into feeling a particular way then you one to feel yourself into acting.”

Act “as if” you are the person you desire to be. Show people your desire and take action with the qualities and talents you possess. Your actions will generate the feelings that go with them. Get advice and take action.

Walk, talk, dress and behave like the people you want to be like. You will soon feel like a winner. You will treat other people the way top-performing people do. You will get results. When you face a difficulty see if as a chance for instruction and not an obstruction. When trouble arises, seek training to get through it. Stay persistent. Never give up! With each obstacle or setback, there is a seed of equal or greater advantage or benefit. You job is to focus on that. Keep doing. There is a lesson in the struggle that may be something you needed to experience or learn from to get better.

Don’t isolate yourself when you are trying to make things happen. Seek instruction and feedback. Get correction and get better. Ready, Fire, Aim!!!

You can find a copy of the Ready, Fire, Aim worksheet by visiting www.NAAUniversity.com and download it from the advanced resources section, or by using this link:

Jul 7, 2017

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright shares 3 big secrets to help you attract the right people in your life.

Andy will also tell you how to use these secrets to help you succeed.

Humans need to feed three basic needs. These are acceptance, approval and appreciation.

1. Acceptance - Accept people as they are and let them be them. They don't have to be perfect for you to like them. Don't try to be the moral police. You don't need to offer them a straight jacket to wear. Never put conditions on your acceptance of people.

Don't say I accept you if YOU change, do this, be this or act like this. People don't like that and will move away from you.

2. Approval - Look for something to "approve of" in all people. Find a shiny spot even if it is a small thing. It seems insignificant, but you need to let them know it. The more you approve, the more that will appear to you. As you get closer, look and see how he/she will adjust and do more to earn approval.

3. Appreciation - Appreciate means to raise value. Do not depreciate people or lower the level of appreciation. Let people know you value them. Treat them like they are valuable. Don't keep people waiting. Thank people. Give them special treatment. Give them individual treatment.

We all have a hunger or appetite to be accepted as we are. Be yourself and be OK. Take your shoes off and relax! Be a person that someone else can be OK with and not judge others.

Now, a lot of people do the opposite. They find faults in people. They are sarcastic. They put down people. They are not real friends. They often suggest how you can be fixed! They are rigid and rough. They have "standards" of how things ought to be. Let the peculiar be peculiar. If somebody is not like you then be OK with that. Let people relax. Everybody calm down.

People who accept people as they are are the ones most likely to change them and influence them.

Ask yourself this: Who changed you? Was it the person who believed in you, encouraged you, loved you and accepted you?

No one person has the power to reform another person, but liking another person as they are is a great way to start.

Have you ever had a doctor that listened with no surprise, horror or moral judgment? That's like a good friend. They accept it for what it is and they help you get better. Like a spouse, it is for better or worse.

No one is accepted by all, but all need somebody to accept them. Gangs operate this way. They do crazy or they do good.

Find approval and like something about people. You can find good or bad, but you have to look for both. You can find flaws or find things to approve. Shine your spotlight on approval things. We all bask in the spotlight of approval. Let it shine on people. Take notice and find something unique about a person. They will then glow.

Appreciation is magic! Raise value and help others grow. We want to be around those who are growing. Let them know. Clap for them. Smile at them. Get up and show appreciation.

Don't keep waiting to do this if at all possible.

Acknowledge immediately. Don't delay.

Thanks people.

Treat them special.
