On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright a Simple, Clear, Concise Plan To Move Your Profitability Up Now!

People have issues. Nobody is perfect. We still have to make moves and help families.

Hope, faith and love are all great, but the greatest is love.

What’s more than knowledge? Wisdom! Love is the most powerful, fear is the most blinding. Yes, Love is more powerful than pain.

Love, fear, insecurity and familiarity are the powerful emotion that keeps us chained to a life we don’t want to live!

Sarcasm is the most destructive. It hurts our relationships. We use humor (a good quality) to make somebody else feel small. Teasing does the same thing. When we use anger, violence and threats it is not good. A person who doesn’t know why people like him or avoid him doesn’t see the big picture. What can seem benign is actually destructive.

We are all emotional. If we were all rational human beings, we would always seek to avoid pain and seek pleasure. But, we tend to shoot ourselves in the foot when we should not. We should work to build and nurture relationships. There’s no debate with emotions. No controversy and no decision. When we use our power for good that is love. When we use power in a bad way it is out of fear or anger.

Incredible acts of courage happen because of love, fear, passion and desire. The wish to be loved and appreciated can lead to incredible accomplishments. Most people want to be respected and desire it. People think we have no control of emotions. If you are curious or show an expression, it is because you are angry, upset, depressed, etc.

How can they?

How can they make you feel? An emotion you don’t want to feel or an experience that hurt is part of your heart and mind. You think about you not them. You can love a person or hate them. Thoughts and emotions are inseparable.

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright is back from Paris and Switzerland to deliver a high-energy pod where he talks about why he is ready to recommit, focus and do better every, single day!

Why do so many people worry about what other people are doing and thinking when it comes to their world? Why can't they only focus on what they are thinking and doing, and not consider what somebody else will say about their actions? This is a concept that so many people struggle with. Often times, the people who make it the worst are family members, who question anything they consider to be outside-of-the-box thinking when it comes to trying to be successful.

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Chris Hill delivers 5 ways you can start winning today.

Did you know that winning is an inside job? We all like to win, what is interesting is many of us never do. Why is that?

  • The No. 1 Rule in wining is an old football adage – Don’t beat yourself
  • When people lose, they don’t lose because of competitors they lose because they beat themselves.
  • Winning is not an outside job
    • Carl Lewis – won the long jump Gold Medal in 1996
    • He said there were a lot better jumpers but he had
      • A lot of good experience behind him
      • He studied to win
      • He talked about all the stuff on the inside before he jumped.
    • Many people when they talk about winning they ask the wrong questions
      • Questions those who win never ask:
        • What are the conditions?
          • How many times do we find people limping around saying the conditions just won’t right.
        • Who is the competition?
          • John Wooden – My biggest problem is not the other team, my biggest problem is us and if I can get us prepared to play to our potential it doesn’t matter who we play
        • Winning inside is always your first victory
  1. Take Responsibility

The most important ability is responsibility.  Nothing happens until someone steps forward and takes responsibility.

25 year old – I have learned our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are but we are responsible for who we become.

What kind of influence do you want to be? - 10 Traits of a Real Leader

  • A True Leader loves and serves others as a life commitment
    • Do not begin leading begin by serving
  • A True Leader will focus on being a friend not on having friends
    • When you make the goal of your heart to have friends, suddenly you are chasing the wrong target.  You will make decisions and mistakes all based upon the fact that you crave acceptance.
  • A True Leader will hate inactivity but love people and respect everybody
    • Leaders restore and empower people, they don’t tear down people
  • A True Leader will stand for right and doesn't fear ridicule
    • How easily are you to give in? What will make you quit?
  • A True Leader finds success in helping others to grow and succeed
    • They will sacrifice personal rights for the privilege of influencing others
    • A real leader values influence more than personal rights
  • A True Leader learns how to communicate well
  • A True Leader has a personal commitment to personal growth
    • A real leader values Growth more than pleasure
    • They set their heart and mind on strengthening influences not depleting ones
  • A True Leader learns to live a well ordered and balanced life
    • Leaders lead themselves first
    • Personal organization is a reflection of character and what we deem is important
  • A True Leader cares about a Good name.
    • Perception is reality
    • Leaders protect their influence
  • A True Leader is destination oriented for himself and others

If you are unwilling to do number 1 then you can turn off the tape
If you are unwilling to do number 1 then the other 12 will not help you

  1. Listen and learn from other successful people
    1. God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth, when you don’t listen you turn off 50% of your learning capabilities
    2. There is a relationship between winning and learning
    3. People are not successful by accident, find the key to their life and you will find the key to your life.
    4. 10 Things you want to look for when listening
      1. Commitment
      2. Excellence
  • Integrity
  1. Time Management
  2. Attitude
  3. Relationship
  • Priorities
  • Solid Family Values
  1. Energy
  2. Peace
  1. We have examples all around us. Most people when they get around successful people they pick up their idiosyncrasies instead of their strengths
    1. That is why we plan what we look for before we look for it
  2. Love what you do and do it
  • “You are the only real obstacle in your path to a fulfilling life.” – Les Brown
    • 50% of Americans don’t find meaning at work. And only 34% of employees feel a strong connection to their companies mission
    • Passion comes from feeling like you are a part of something that you believe in, something bigger than yourself
  • Your purpose is your WHY. It drives your choices in life
    • What you say yes and no to
    • Your purpose is the North Star: it helps you focus on the big picture and on the impact you want to create.
  • Happiness lies at the intersection of your job and purpose
    • Motivation lies at the intersection of your job and career.
    • Fulfillment is more profound than happiness. You are achieving something more significant, not just feeling happy about what you do.  You feel fulfilled when our career adds meaning to your life and is connected to your life purpose.
    • You can never make a unhappy person happy by giving them more.
  • Success is not work, it is a way of life, because you were making a contribution instead of chasing compensation.
    • Success comes when you are clear in pursuit of WHY you want it.
  • We all have the right to be fulfilled at work.
    • We must be at a place where fulfillment is possible
    • We must choose to be fulfilled
  1. Learn from your mistakes

5 Ways to learn from your mistakes

  • Acknowledge your errors
    • Blaming other people or minimizing your responsibility isn’t helpful to anyone.

    • Don’t dwell on your mistakes, but reflect on them by asking questions
      • What went wrong?
      • What did I want to achieve
      • What could I do better next time?
      • What did I learn from this?
      • When might this situation happen again?
      • How will I handle it next time?
    • Write down your responses to see the situation more clearly
  • Make a Plan
    • Beating yourself up for your mistakes doesn’t help
    • Make a plan that will help you avoid making a similar mistake

  • Make it Harder to Mess up
    • Find creative ways to become more discipline
    • Enlist others to help you
