On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright delivers three critical steps to success that you can implement today.
Plan, Schedule, Organize!
Have you heard the story of the donkey in the well. When dirt ended up on his back, he shook it off and stepped up. He kept doing this until he was able to step out of the well.
What if people faced challenges and obstacles in the same manner?
The way to success can be simplified if you are able to plan, schedule and organize (prioritize). The next step is to decide exactly what you want. If you plan to get that, you are more likely to get it. You have to execute the plan and you have to work to develop the skills it takes to get what you want.
How do you spend your time? Are you in control? Do you have great time management skills? Are you happy? Are you confident? Do you have the power? How is your well being?
No matter how bad you are, you have to learn to avoid procrastination and stay away from low-value activities. You can fix all your problems eventually. You do this by being as efficient as possible, working to be your most effective and by doing things that are as productive as possible.
You have to move from confusion to clarity and from frustration to focus. This comes from repetition and practice. You have to be result oriented.
It's about clear goals and being organized to do tasks that move you toward your dream. This means maximizing every minute possible of every day. The choices and decisions you make are created you entire life up to this moment.
What are you doing now? This is the time to make new choices and new decisions that align with what you want.
Are you using the LLC method? Are you getting a list from people you meet, are you helping them get a license to sell insurance and are you working to help them attend the next event or meeting they need to be at?
Your business, family and your health should be priorities. Be like a sniper and zero in on your target with a high-priority focus on what you are aiming at.
How do you know what is the right thing to do? If you know what you are aiming at, then it should be pretty easy to figure out what to do next. Right things should always be more important than wrong things. All your effort should involve your aim or goal at the moment you are in immediately.
The most important tasks should be your "A" tasks. These are things that get you closer to where you want to be, and they are things that need to happen now. The "A" tasks should take priority over "B" tasks. Which one gets you closer to your goal?
Let's discuss intelligence. High IQ. Did you make good grades? If not, do you at least seem intelligent? Don't act unintelligent, that is not a good look at all. Behave in a way that moves you closer to the goals and be smart about it. If it doesn't move or get you what you WANT. Don't be stupid when it comes to your behavior because it could be the difference in success and failure.
