On this episode of the Activity podcast, Andy Albright comes to you live from his office at The Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C. in front of a live audience.

This week’s show was all about how to get to SEAL Team 20 fast and why Good Samaritan Bonus matters so much.

Listen in and take notes as Andy explains why you have to fall in love with the process and focus on the controllables. This applies to business and life.

Don’t worry about results. Worry about the activity and the work you are doing. If you don't completely reach your goal, who cares? Are you closer to it now than when you started reaching for it? That is the key. Keep trying to reach it when you come up short.

On this edition of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright explains the six steps to establish goals. Listen as Andy tells you why to set goals and how to make your dreams come true.

10:06 – What one skillset would change everything dramatically if you focused on it and got great at it? What if you developed it and did it in an excellent fashion? Would you have the greatest positive impact on your business?

What if you set goals?

Humility, gratitude and giving credit to a higher power is one way to create a brighter future for yourself. If you are willing to set big goals, there is a team at The Alliance to help you. Do you believe deep in your soul that you were meant for more?

A person recently told Andy, “I want what all men want, but I want more.”

Andy’s biggest goal is to help people achieve their goals faster than they thought was possible. Andy believes it is his destiny and calling to help others. He wants to hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Zig Ziglar said, “Success is goals, and all else is commentary.”

Jim Rohn said, “Put it in a box this big and I’ll make up my own drama.”

Your time is precious. Why take forever to accomplish your goals? You can do it now.

The average intelligence with goals will smoke a genius who is not sure what he can do.

No. 1: Make goals! Work on them! Do it every single day!

A Harvard study conducted from 1979-89 found that among MBA students, only 3 percent had goals. A decade later, those 3 percent had earned 10-times more than their fellow MBA classmates.

How do you define happiness? Earl Nightingale said it was the progressive realization of a worthwhile ideal or goal. When you define steps to take and then make progress, you will be happy.

Greek philosopher Aristotle said man is a teleological being. Teleo meaning goals.

Write it down, make a plan and set about getting it done.

6 Steps to Set Goals

  1. Write it down and be clear
  2. Make it measurable and objective
  3. Put a deadline on it and set time constraints
  4. Establish where you are when you start
  5. Determine what is in it for you. Why do you want it?
  6. Visualize or picture it now.

The first job of a leader is to determine the truth. Where am I, where are my friends and where is the enemy?

When you have goals, you can move from poverty to prosperity. You can move from frustration to fulfilment. You will rid yourself of underachievement and find success and satisfaction.

Simply put: you become what you think about most of the time.

Broke people think about what they don’t want. Successful people think about what they want and how they can get it.

Why not be successful? Let it occur to you, believe it can happen and want it to happen. Do you fear success or failure?

Step 1: You must write it down and be clear. It has to be tangible. Write it down and make it plain so you can see it. If it isn’t written down then it is not a goal. Write it and re-write it.

How will I measure success in the achievement of this goal? How can I measure my progress?

Writing is psycho neuro motor activity. It means when you write it down, you activate your: emotions, intelligence and your body. It activates your visual, auditory and kinesthetic senses. It programs you goal into subconscious.

Step 2: Measurable and Objective goals. You have to be capable of being analyzed. You don’t just say I want a lot of money or I want to do better. It has to be specific. Think about your activity, results and goals. Be specific.

Step 3: Time boundaries, schedules and deadlines

Keep it simple. Look at one week. Look at one month. Look at one year. Give it your best guess in those areas. Aim big and see if you hit it or even go beyond the goal. Maybe you just get close. At least you shot at it.

Break it down and create mini-deadlines. Do it for a day, week, month, etc.

Step 4: Establish where you are. Determine you starting point. Where are you now?

Like the Marines say, “Where am I, where is my buddy and where is the enemy?

Analyze your starting point. Know you numbers when it comes to dials, contacts, appointments, sits and applications. It all matters.

Step 5: Determine what’s in it for you. What are the reasons you want it? What is your why? Decide why. List reasons it will personally benefit you. The more reasons you have the more likely you will take action.

Your reasons are the fuel for the furnace of growth. What motivates you more: two reasons to do it or 40 reasons to do it? What do you really want? How badly do you want it? If the desire is there, you will start.

Step 6: Visualize and picture it

Say it, See it and Seize it!

What do you think about? What do you see in your mind? What does it look like? What do I want and how do I get it? Peter Drucker said when you find something getting done, you find a monomaniac with a mission.

If you feel it and emotionalize it, you go deeper and deeper in terms of making it happen. In your brain is the reticular cortex. Your recticular activity system makes you intensely aware and alert. People are resources and they have talent to help open opportunities to help you get it.

Time Stamps:

35:00: Where are you? What is your objective?

38:00: The starting point is desire

53:00: You have to see it before you can seize it!

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Lead Performance Team manager Clay Mertes fills in as guest host for Andy Albright to talk about how you can get all the leads you need and the 5 things winners are doing RIGHT NOW!

The Lead Performance Team is a group who are committed to helping agents get in position to reach clients and help protect them with life insurance. This four-person staff was put in place to help agents maximize their success with The Alliance.

The system that Andy Albright has worked to develop over the last 20 years has a proven track record for success. The tools and resources that exist today were not there 15 years ago, but Albright has invested heavily to put in the infrastructure needed to blog this thing up bigly.

Agents with The Alliance that are "killing it" do 5 things well.

They don't care what the source of the lead is.

They don't care what kind of leads they get.

They don't care where they have to go to run business.

They find the best product to fit the client.

They maximize their book of business and leads by asking for referrals and conducting annual reviews.

May 26, 2017

On this episode of the Activity podcast, Andy Albright speaks to you live from his office at The Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Anybody can make soap, but it takes a clever person to sell it.”

Today’s episode is all about recruiting and building … in simple fashion. There are tons of different soaps in the market, but somebody has to sell it. The people that can sell the soap are going to make more money than the people that are good with just making it. The people in The Alliance that can sell insurance make more than those who are satisfied with making a product. The talent to sell gets earns a person a higher income than a person who works in a factory assembling a product.

Typically, sales people don’t shoot for a finite finish line. Sales people try to do as much as possible. They keep pushing to sell more than just their goal.

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright explains the three surefire ways to get new agents profitable. Before you settle in and listen to this call in its entirety, please reference page 230 of Andy’s “Millionaire Maker Manual” and review the section that covers GS3. That is about Goal Set, Get Started and Go Serve.

Think about the following three things:

You be!

Excellence and expectation

Simplicity (Gross vs. Expense)

GS3 is a lot like people taking showers. You need to do it daily or it will not go well in the long run. You have to repeat it. Over and over.

Andy talks about slowing down to speed up when it comes to working with sharp, talented agents. What do you expect of people? First, you have to know they want to and find out do they want to. Next, find out the how to and the how to get from people.

A leaders job is to define reality. Where am I, where is my buddy and where is the enemy? That’s how the military looks at it when it goes on a mission. Where are you? What is your next step? Will you rise above or stay under when the times comes to step up?

You need a plan to play. Can you schedule and prepare in a manner that will lead you to success? Are you doing what you want and need to do or are you checking with friends and family and letting them influence everything you do?

The goal is to help get people started. Are you practicing what you preach? Do you exercise personal use? If you don’t, then why would anybody else listen to you? A lot of people will tell you they are giving you 100 percent, but they are likely at around 85 percent. There’s a huge gap there that can be closed.

When you are doing and leading by example, people will take notice.

When you set the bar for excellence and expect the same of others, the team can perform at a higher level.

When you keep things simple and keep track of where you are in terms of finances, you and your team can be more successful.

May 12, 2017

Andy hosted a live edition of The Alliance Activity Podcast from his office in Burlington, N.C. to talk about the three rooms people can stay in. The way people pick a room is they decide what they want.

Some people are committed to fast growth and get big.

Some people are not committed yet. You might call this the funny room.

Then, you have people who go easy until you know. These people make good decisions.

What are you doing with the time you have? Are you sitting and waiting, or are you pushing and doing?

Are you committed? Are you pressing to do as much as possible until your time is done and you reach the end of your life?

People are dealing with things you can’t imagine, even if they look like they have it all together. When things are not going perfectly, committed people still get things done. They don’t let problems stop them from doing what they need to do.

Whatever you want in life, it boils down to deciding to make the commitment to do whatever it takes to reach that goal. We all have problems, but some of us choose to make things happen.

It is the decision to attend meetings, be coachable, etc. that determines where you are going. When you are speaking negative or positive it does comes back to you at some point and time.

What you say is what you get. Positivity in the room changes and impacts every single person in the room. When you are negative, it hurts the atmosphere.

Be accountable and make yourself speak positive. Ask others to hold you to it.

A man must work hard to get better. You have to show gratitude and pay it forward. If you want bigger success then you must deal with bigger problems. Everything is relative. Do you want to step up to bigger success and deal with bigger problems? You have to be able to handle both. You can’t have the sweet without the sour.

The odds of you becoming a human being are insane. You actually won the lottery. Now, are you going to take full advantage of it? Humans can talk, they can build, they can do anything pretty much. Will you work for what you want?

You already beat the odds by being a human and being in the United States. Now, let’s see what you got? Are you going to step up? Your success starts with you. Do you believe in you?

The Alliance has a spot for you on the team. However, you can’t win until you make the decision.

On this episode of The Alliance Activity Call, Andy Albright talks about how a new agent can start fast and how YOU can help them get moving.

One secret in life is to get up in the morning and work on something that matters until the sun goes down and you get so tired you can’t keep your eyes open. The best at what they do are able to do this day after day for years!

How do you get new people started fast? Read Andy’s Millionaire Maker Manual on page 207 where it talks about getting people going.

1 – You establish clear communication lines.

How would you act if you knew you would win? What would you do? Do you play by the playbook? If you have the recipe then use it. If you don’t follow directions, I don’t know what the end result will be. What energy and investment would you throw at it?

Details make stories stick. Once you get a Key Leader, you want to help him get to Executive Vice President. Tell success stories, edify the people who are doing the right things and following the playbook. You want to create patterns that people can follow.

On Page 38 of MMM, you can read about The Factory. In the very beginning you want to get 12 wide, licensed and signed up for the next event. The Alliance’s next big event is Family Reunion in July. You can get tickets by signing up at www.AllianceFamilyReunion.com.

4 questions to ask …

What is it? When is it? How do we do it? What do we got to do?

Learn to say people’s names a lot. If you want to get someone great, you have to be great first. People follow the leader.

3 reasons to hire people.

Help people that are praying for something.

Help people that need this.

Help people before somebody else helps them.

Are you making a list, making phone calls, interviewing people and following up?

How would you like to be an answer to someone’s prayer?

You can’t be the answer without faith. Get people telling their stories before we tell them what we are going to do. Catch what people are doing correctly and make sure to point it out to them and others.

Don’t be afraid to get a list. It is more complicated to get a list than it is to call a list. If you can get them to call and help them call, that is big.

Interview people to find out how they have won or been successful in the past because you looking to show their past success. Figure out what their success has been, point it out to them and remind them that it can and will happen for them again.

Apr 21, 2017

On this episode of The Alliance Activity Podcast, Andy Albright tells you why the best people are able to attract crowds, why they keep going and what keeps them coming back for more.

What do you love? What is your tip? Are you worried all the time?

Are you working on being positive about things in your life?

Are you booking appointments with people and going to the home even when you don't want to or you think it isn't going to go well?

Are you shying away from recruiting because you haven't had any success yet?

Andy says a big mistake people make is thinking it is all about you and what you have done. Remember the bigger picture is about the team you are on and what you can do together.

Get in the game and start playing to win. If you sit and watch, then you can't win. That means you sell, recruit and build.

Be nice to people ... it makes a difference. People don't care how much you know until they know that you care about them and what is going on in their life.

A leader's ability to define reality is important. Change will take time and it won't always be easy. Work to have great character, make sacrifices and spend time with people when you don't want to do it.

Approval

Look for a reason to approve of a person. It can be little things. Encourage and don't patronize. Raise the value of people, rather than depreciating them. Let people know you are behind them. Most people want to be heard instead of talked at. Be interested and interesting. You have to work to get to know a person so do it. That's how you build a relationship. Offer hugs and handshakes to people. Mind your manners.

How to attract a crowd?

Reach out to people you encounter and offer to help them. They will remember that. Work to build acceptance, build approval and build appreciation. Don't judge others. Make a difference in people's lives and see how much they will be willing to help and do for you in return.

Mar 25, 2017

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, Andy Albright dishes on relationships, retention and rising up!

Surprising sales teaching from relationships. Surprising placement percentage from relationships. Surprising truth in relationships.

Relationships take effort, time and work. Investing in people is the greatest thing you can do. It won’t always end well and you will be hurt at times, but you have to keep loving on people. Over time, it will pay off for you in ways you can’t imagine.

Sacrifice to people shows others that you care about them and they appreciate it. Most parents will do anything to protect their children. They don’t ever want to see them hurting. That is the kind of sacrifice that happens when the relationship and connection between people is strong. Show people that you care about them every chance you get.

When you give to others and help people when they need you, they will like you and you will have a greater circle of influence.

Talent, motivation and time are how you get crazy successful. Now, when you mix those things along with relationship building, then you can do big things. Relationships matter. When you nurture relationships, you retain people for longer amounts of time. We are all in the people business even if we do not realize it.

Feb 24, 2017

On this episode of The Alliance Activity podcast, guest host Stephen Davies delivered a jam-packed broadcast from his office in Asheville, N.C.

Have you ever noticed that most people never know what they need to hear in order to kick them into motion? Why is this so common when it doesn't have to be that way?

Successful people do everything it takes to be in the room when what they need to hear is being said. Often times, when a person hears what they need to hear they start performing at a higher level.

But, what if they hadn't heard it? Why does it take some seemingly magical enlightenment for action to take place?

How do you grow to a higher level than where you are right now, today, in this moment? How do you reach for Good Samaritan Bonus and SEAL Team 20 each month? How do you push for more?

With The Alliance, you can decide what you are going to do and then put together a plan to make it happen. How? The Alliance has a system in place that will help you set and reach any goal that you have. There are no limitations on what you can do if you set a goal and work for it. More is always possible because The Alliance does not have a shortness of opportunity. You get to decide. The opportunity is there is you want it.

Why are you stuck where you are at? Why are you not moving up? The Alliance isn’t concerned about a finish line. We are trying to go as far as we can go. The “Do” at The Alliance is simple: Sell, Recruit and Build.

Make dials, set appointments and go meet clients. Keep doing it and the results will come. It might not happen overnight, but if you keep working consistently then you will find success.

What holds people back?

People have to decide that they want to grow. Once the decision is made, it must be backed up by action. Decision comes from a Latin word that means cutting off. When you make a decision, you cut off everything that is preventing you from doing something. Poor people are enamored by having a plan B or a backup plan. People like that are playing small. They are not playing to win. They are not making a decision to change their life. People who make decisions and are committed are better off because they back up the decision with action.

Normal people don’t get a lot done because they are wrapped up in normal stuff. They waste time on things that don’t help them. When you hear people talking about what they have cut off then you know they have made a decision.

Stephen shared seven words that will help you with making decisions. Take out a notepad and take notes. This is big stuff.

Instead: looking back and looking forward. If you didn’t do what you wanted to do last year, what were you doing that stopped you? What did you do instead of what you could have done that limited your success? Did you play too much golf? Did you go out too much? Too much TV? What were you doing? You can find the time if you are willing to give up other things.

Fear: Not all fear is bad. Negative fear is fear of failure and success. Procrastination is the enemy. This keeps us from doing the things we need to do. Distractions occupy us because we have a fear of failure. Advice is something we seek because we often lack the courage to take action. Worry is nothing more than a prayer for what you fear. Don’t operate in a self-sabotaging manner. Don’t ruin your momentum by making a bad decision. Self-worth issues will limit your success. Stay away from negative people. Look for positive. Don’t borrow trouble. It will consume you.

Energy: you only have so much energy. You can do things to optimize your energy, but it is limited. Be wise about how you use it. Put your efforts into the right areas of your life. Avoid energy vampires that will drain you and your efforts that could be used in a positive way in other places. Avoid OPD (Other People’s Drama). You can’t solve everybody else’s problems and emergencies. Spend time getting caught up on your dreams and not the latest episode of a TV show.

Intention: Are you intentional in what you are doing? What does your plan look like? Are you planning your days out with great intention? When you act intentionally, you make better decisions. What do you want? What does it look like? Figure that out and find a way to go there. Are you putting habits in place to get you there? Your intentions can simplify your decision-making process. Words are not neutral and your intentions shouldn’t be either.

Purpose: Have a purpose, work with a sense of purpose and use the energy of that purpose to guide what you do. When you have a purpose, you are less likely to be self-destructive. When you act with purpose you create the results and impact that keep your belief bucket full. When you lack purpose, you lack belief over time. You have to keep filling up that bucket. A man with purpose doesn’t hesitate to make decisions.

Change: People have to change to reach their dreams and goals. You can’t get overwhelmed by stuff. When you continue to change in positive ways, you are more likely to keep growing. Don’t give up, but do keep getting up. You will fail and hit roadblocks, but you can’t quit or you will not win.

Delay: When you make decisions and you have to act with delay in some areas, you have to remember it is OK to delay gratification. If you are feeling bad, don’t make a decision. Get up and regroup before you make a decision. Don’t give into your emotions and don’t let your emotions get you in trouble. Keep them in check. Delay the decision until your mind is right. Don’t get too high or low. It can always be better and it can always be worse. Don’t give up on positive changes because it will take time for the results to kick in. Don’t quit. You might be closer than ever thought to winning. If you quit, you can’t win.

Andy Albright hosted this week’s Alliance Activity podcast live from his office in The Alliance's Burlington, N.C. headquarters.

Most of us have more than one thing going in life, and we have to make choices and decisions about what move we need to make next. Do you have to stop and think about what you are going to do next? Having a plan and strategy is crucial in knowing what you should do next.

Andy’s goal is to help people achieve their goals by helping them get what they want faster and better than they thought possible.

Your thinking shapes your world. Nothing just happens. Nothing happens until a person thinks about an idea and takes action or a person tells them to do something. Rich people think about what they want and how they are going to get it.

When people move and get other people to move then big things happen. Life is better when you "Do The Do."

On this episode of The Alliance's Activity call, your host Andy Albright dishes about why you need to know "What's Next!"

Welcome to Episode 54 of the AActivity call, hosted live from Albright's office in Burlington, N.C. Grab a pen and notepad, sit back and get ready to learn about why it is important to know what is coming next in business and life.

On today's episode, Andy talks shop with Melanie Ray, Junior Corria and a very special guest visiting The Alliance from South Africa.

Enjoy!!!

Melanie Ray, of Dumfries, Va., joined the call to share her personal story with The Alliance during the last eight years. Melanie talked about the importance of giving back to the team by serving others because of how many people have helped Melanie and her husband, Chadwick since they joined The Alliance. Melanie knows that growth comes through helping and serving others first.

If you don’t go for something at 100 percent, you will be frustrated and not produce fruit with your efforts. Doing something at 50 percent capacity will only make you frustrated.

The Alliance is looking for people who are ready to go all in and figure out what to do next. If you don’t have a plan and a schedule, then you probably are not set up to be successful. There’s an old saying, “Man makes plans and God laughs.” Make a plan, but be flexible for things to change. The better prepared you are, the more likely you can pivot successfully when obstacles appear in front of you.

Making the commitment to go all out for a goal is half the battle. Once you are committed, then you start adding next steps. What is next for you? Are you thinking in those terms? If you don’t know where you are and where you are going, then you will never get to what you want.

It’s great to grow your income, but you also have to grow as a person and in your relationships. You need to let it “occur” to you that you can improve and grow in all areas of your personal and professional life.

Junior Corria, a SEAL Team 20 member, shared his experience of moving to the United States from Cuba when he was a young boy. At 18, he joined The Alliance. Junior started slow, but his income has improved each year with The Alliance. He now makes more than $120,000 annually, and predicts he will hit $300,000 this year.

Life is about the choices you make and the voices you listen to as you decide what you are going to do next. Don’t let your greatest victory or defeat be what happened in the past. If you don’t keep enlarging your goals and dreams then you will not get better and improve. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are done with what you can do in life.

The more you sit and sulk, the less you get accomplished. Working with a purpose can make all the difference in the world.

Bishop Trevor Manhanga and his wife were visiting with The Alliance today and stopped by the show to speak to the team about his late friend JL Williams, who was a great friend of Andy and The Alliance. JL passed away at the end of 2016, and Manhanga traveled from Zimbabwe, South Africa to pay his repsects to JL’s family. JL was a mentor to both Andy and Manhanga and they each shared some of their thoughts about their late friend.

Part of life is learning to understand and accept people. We all have weaknesses and you have to have a big heart to make a difference in the world. When you have a big heart, you can help people who need encouragement. Giving back and helping those in need is part of living a great life. When you have big hands and help others, it is amazing what you can accomplish. Think on a bigger scale and go to heights that most won’t even dare to think about doing.

Big mind, big heart, big horizons and big hands will help you be as successful as you want to be. The best is yet to come. The Alliance believes that you ain’t seen nothing yet!

The Alliance came to play big and win big this year. We want you to know what's next so that you are set up for success this year. Until next time, we hope you enjoyed the podcast!

Andy Albright hosted the Alliance Activity podcast live from his office in Burlington, N.C.

Today’s topic focused on what you need to say to people when they you what they need to do. Andy says, “Whatever it takes!” Listen in and take notes as Andy talks about what to say, what to ask and what to do when you are working with new agents joining The Alliance.

The first thing members of The Alliance do is to follow the playbook. We are 100 percent positive about everything. We avoid being negative. We don’t use sarcasm. We are not ugly. We don’t use snide remarks. We focus on our Prosperity, Inspiration and Eternity. The prosperity is unlimited, the inspiration means we get to have fun and our eternity is real and lasts forever.

YOU can be the cause and the effect. You need to believe this because the speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack and the team. We talk to people when we encounter them on a daily basis. We help people find products that fit their needs. We keep it simple. We speak clearly and simply.

Knowing how to do something doesn’t mean the work gets done. People will start doing when they want to do something. They will do more when they are around people they like and respect. They are more likely to move faster when they are capable and they know you care about them. Now, some people are desperate and will move immediately, but it helps when you make people feel special.

The “How To” is not as important as the “Why To.” When people know why they are doing something, they care that much about how they do it. When people feel stuck, don’t have self-confidence and only worry about themselves, it is a recipe for disaster.

If you want to gain power then be positive about things. If you want to lose influence with people then start practicing being critical of everything.

People paired with relationships equal performance. When you get away from people then you don’t perform as well. You need to get around people you like and work on growing the relationships you have with people. Make people feel special and loved. Don’t be cold, distant and mean.

If your “Why” is about other people then you don’t have time to sit still. There’s so much work to be done. People need people and we all need to help more people.

When other people are in an emotional tailspin, you have to remain calm. It probably doesn’t even impact what you are trying to do. You can help them through it, but don’t get emotional with them and make it worse. Don’t get too high and don’t get too low. Stay even and calm.

Do you know what makes a great team? They show up for practice. They work on the fundamentals and the basics. They rise above adversity. They don’t get so frustrated they lose focus on the task at hand. They keep executing, keep making plays and keep doing.

C.S. Lewis once said, “I need more to be reminded more than I need to be told.” Avoid the fire if you know it will burn you when emotions are involved. Stay cool.

Use Andy’s tips to get your new people up and running faster, cheaper, farther and more productive NOW.

Andy Albright delivered this edition of The Alliance Activity podcast live from his office in Burlington, N.C. This week’s topic focused on three “magic” questions you can ask that will get you working on the items that will lead to 90 percent of your growth this year. The questions will help you triple your productivity.

Everything you do each day should be written down. You need to do this solidly for a week and then review at the end of the week. It will help you better understand why you are where you are in life. It will answer this question: What do you do?

Find ways to inspire people to have a better life by giving back. You create a river by helping more people.
